"The people of Namibia taught me about life" - how Brian describes his time in Namibia. As a teacher in rural Africa, Brian learned about the struggles of impoverished people in the poorest, 'rich' country on earth. These days he teaches First Nations people in a small town in Labrador. Hear about Brian's love of the Namibian people, their culture and values - something that moves him to tears and will impact anyone who listens.

The views expressed in these podcasts do not necessarily reflect the views of Cuso International or its supporters. At Cuso International, we believe we are changing the world, one volunteer at a time. That’s because volunteering can be transforming for both the overseas community and volunteer. Each year, we send hundreds of global citizens to work on collaborative development projects in more than 40 countries around the world. About Marian White

After graduating from the University of Prince Edward Island I volunteered with CUSO in Nigeria. In the 80s I worked with Oxfam Canada in Halifax as a development educator working across the Maritime region. In 1994 I began to work with CUSO in the Atlantic region and enjoy my current work with Cuso International.
