Peter's work at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans is combined with a passion for beekeeping and an interest global social justice issues. He and his partner, Kathleen Cooper were 'star' Cooperants in the South Pacific where their work continues today with the involvement of local villagers. Peter and Kathleen's passion for international solidarity has been passed on to family members who are currently working with a forestry NGO in Pemba, Tanzania.

After graduating from the University of Prince Edward Island I volunteered with CUSO in Nigeria. In the 80s I worked with Oxfam Canada in Halifax as a development educator working across the Maritime region. In 1994 I began to work with CUSO in the Atlantic region and enjoy my current work with Cuso International.
