As an educator in New Brunswick, Kathleen took the opportunity to volunteer with the Teacher's Union in Ghana. Her love of travel and desire to make a difference in the world brought her to CUSO where she spent 3 years in Solomon Islands and a year in Papua New Guinea until 2006. She and her partner, Peter Hardie brought their beekeeping knowledge to a receptive audience in the South Pacific in an attempt to build sustainability. It worked and is working today. Kathleen took part in the governance of CUSO as the Volunteer representative on the Board of Directors. Today she is on the 50th Anniversary Ctte. Her dedication to social justice is a model for all to learn from - enjoy her message.

After graduating from the University of Prince Edward Island I volunteered with CUSO in Nigeria. In the 80s I worked with Oxfam Canada in Halifax as a development educator working across the Maritime region. In 1994 I began to work with CUSO in the Atlantic region and enjoy my current work with Cuso International.
